Our Belief

About the Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God written for all people. God chose human agents to write the bible under the inspirational guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. It is called the revelation of God. God has made it truly clear that He is speaking through this Book. It is a book that communicates life to us in every aspect of our life.

We are a church that is dedicated to God’s Word. We believe that God is immutable which is unchangeable (Hebrews 6:18) and the written Word of God is His authority, Will and purpose for humanity. And the Word of God is not to be compromised because of a changing society.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV; and 2 Peter 1:20 - 21; 2 Timothy 1:13; Psalm 12:6; Psalm 119:160; Proverbs 30:5

About the Trinity

The Trinity holds that there is only one God with three Divine Persons.

  1. God the Father (Jehovah) is God the author, the originator of all that exist. It was in His mind, first, that all took shape.
  2. God the Son (Jesus Christ), our Savior is God the Creator of all that exist. He brought into being all that had been originally formulated in His Father’s mind.
  3. God the Holy Spirit is God the agent who presents these facts to both our mind and our spiritual understanding so that they become both real and relative to us as followers of Jesus the Christ.

About God

God is the originator and ruler of the worlds. He eternally exists as One God with three Divine personalities: God the Father (Jehovah), God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. These three personalities are also called the Godhead (The Trinity). “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” -1 John 5:7 KJV; and Genesis 1:1, Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2;

God’s will be that you come to know him as a Person, draw close to him, and then love and serve him with your whole heart, mind, and soul. (Matthew 22:37; James 4:8) You can learn how to do God’s will from the life and teachings of Jesus. (John 7:16-17) Jesus did not just talk about the will of God—he lived it.

About Jesus Christ

As believers of Christ, it is especially important and essential that you know who He is. Your faith, salvation, and your eternal security rests upon – who He is. Too many Christians have accepted Him as their Savior, but do not truly know Him. The definition of Christianity is accepting Him as both Lord and Savior.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all humanity by dying on the cross. Jesus rose from dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven's glory and will return to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. - Romans 10:9-10 KJV

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is God. He is the third Person of the Trinity who fully, equally, and eternally shares in one common nature with the Father and Son yet is represented in Scripture as being a distinct Person. He displays the characteristics of God: all wise, all powerful, all knowing, eternal, and holy. The Holy Spirit promote Jesus, stimulating adoration, worship, and loyalty toward Jesus Christ. He does not spotlight Himself by any signs and wonders He performs, but He glorifies Christ. It is through the Holy Spirit that we are given the understanding of God's will. The Holy Spirit is always spoken of as a gift of God, not by man's efforts.

Being filled with the Holy Spirit does not mean that we become sinless and perfect. That comes when we get to Heaven. It does not mean that we never have problems. It does not mean that we walk in joy all the time. Sometimes we grieve and are devastated with the troubles of this world. It does mean, however, that our lives will be empowered with a heavenly purpose, unspeakable peace, and have a clear perspective as followers of Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit has all knowledge. The Bible says, “The Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” (1 Corinthians 2:10 KJV). It is the Holy Spirit who teaches us and takes us deeper and deeper into God’s truth as we go along in our Christian life.

In summary, the Holy Spirit is present in the world to make us aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under his guidance daily.

John 14:16, 16:7-15, 17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Ephesians 1:13

About Man

Man is made in the spiritual image of God, to be like him in character. He is the supreme object of God's creation. Although man has incredible potential for good, he is flawed by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." This attitude separates man from God. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2

About Salvation

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” - Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV

Nothing shows the grace of God so much as the fact that Salvation is a gift from God, even though we were dead in sin. Salvation comes through believing in Jesus Christ. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” -John 14:6 KJV

The nature of man is sinful and contrary to God’s will. God gave us an escape plan. He did not have to, but He did because He love us. That is “grace” and that is what saved us from eternal Judgment.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 KJV and John 1:12; Romans 5:1; Romans 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Titus 3:5

About Eternity

All humanity was created to live forever. The choice is up to each person to live forever in one or two places. Either dwell with God in Heaven, through the forgiveness of his/her sins and believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, or he will exist forever in Hell, eternally separated from God. To receive Jesus into one’s heart produces salvation that will guarantee that the believer will spend eternity in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are the only places of eternal existence. Psalm 9:17; Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:31-46; Luke 16:19-31; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15

About Eternal Security

Because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is preserved by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. Believers are sealed in the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30; 2 Corinthians 1:22). A seal indicates possession and protection, which is a guarantee of the security of our salvation. It means that we belong to God. He owns us forever. He will keep us because He has given us His permanent pledge and promise. The Holy Spirit literally comes to live, or dwell, within the believer (Romans 8:9; John 14:16, 17). This is an astonishing truth: God comes to dwell within every believer. The Holy Spirit is received instantly in your heart the moment you become a Christian. John 10:29; 1 Peter 1:3-5

About Baptism

Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus and is your public announcement that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Baptism does not save you but is an outer demonstration to the world of your love and obedience to Christ.

When a person is baptized, it is a sign to everyone that you agree with God’s plan and accept His son Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:13 KJV and Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41; Colossians 2:12.

About the Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper is an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ to remember his sacrifice for us and forgiving of our sins on the Cross. He gave us instructions to have “The Lord’s Supper” as often as we like in remembrances of Him. The bread represents Jesus’ body and the wine represents the blood that Jesus shed for our sins. He said that once we get to Heaven, we will rejoice and drink with him in our Father’s kingdom. Receiving the Lord’s Supper does not save you; it is a demonstration of a believer's faith in the work of Jesus Christ atoning power on the cross. Matthew 26:26-30; Mark 14:22-26; Luke 22:19,20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29
